Friends, family and members had a wonderful time at the church Christmas party held Saturday, Dec. 16. There was a wonderful dinner, games, and an appearance by comedian, Bryan “BLT” Turner, who had us laughing in the aisles.
Rev. Dr. Terrill N. Murff, Pastor of The Congregational Church of Park Manor, UCC was the keynote speaker at the December 3rd 132nd anniversary service. Rev. Murff, accompanied by his family, choir and congregation provided a powerful message of encouragement to the Kenwood family.
On Saturday, December 16, Kenwood will have a Christmas feast and lots of fun and games as they celebrate the season with one another. To make sure there are plenty of laughs, comedian Bryant “BLT” Turner will drop by. There will be activities for children and adults so come on out and join the fun.

Kenwood UCC will continue it’s annual tradition of providing Thanksgiving baskets and dinner to those in need. On Thanksgiving day Kenwood will celebrate with an 11:00 am worship service followed by dinner in the fellowship hall. Community members should contact the church office via phone or email for information regarding a Thanksgiving basket.

On Sept 10 our new Senior Pastor, Rev. Lisa M Goods, preached her first sermon at Kenwood United Church of Christ. The congregation enthusiastically received Rev. Goods and a special welcome meal was served after the service. The congregation and Rev. Goods are looking forward to great things to come.
On Aug 26 Kenwood hosted the annual Taste of Kenwood street festival. In addition to great food, including ribs, chicken, hot dogs, polish, slushes and loads of deserts, the community was able to indulge in a ton of bargains from the church yard sale. The Health Ministry also provided blood pressure screenings. If you missed it this year we’ll be back at it in July, 2018.
